Flavour profile
Passion fruit sets the direction with a bright tropical character. It provides the juicy quality and fruity sourness that keep the blend lively rather than simply sugary. As the session develops, ripe plum brings a softer and denser fruit note.
Mixing ideas
- Citrus flavours. Lemon or orange can emphasise the tangy side of passion fruit and make the mix feel brighter. Add a small amount first so the citrus does not hide the plum.
- Other tropical fruit. Mango may reinforce the sweeter, rounder side, while pineapple can add extra juicy acidity. Adjust the proportion gradually because both directions can become dominant.
- Berry flavours. Strawberry, raspberry or currant can connect the exotic base with a more familiar fruit note. Sour berries strengthen the contrast; sweeter berries create a softer result.
Used on its own, MustHave - Passion Plum (125g) keeps the intended passion fruit-and-plum contrast clear.
Packing, heat and storage
- Stir the tobacco in the tin so the syrup is evenly spread.
- Pack the bowl loosely and leave a gap to the foil or heat device.
- Start with moderate charcoal and heat the bowl gradually.
- If it turns bitter or harsh, remove some charcoal and let the bowl cool.
- Store sealed, away from direct sun and heat.
